This page is here to introduce you to Environmental Inquiry and deepen your understanding of scientific investigation. By reading through the student page posted on the Cornell University Environmental Inquiry Student page you will learn how scientific research is carried out, read about other students' investigations and design your own investigation.
Your best plan of attack is to go to this page and click on the various hyperlinks and start to learn. Since it is very important to understand scientific terms, I suggest checking the glossary and learning any words that are foreign to you. Creating some flashcards on index cards would be helpful. Next, you should review tips for planning an experiment, check out some completed research reports. and read about bioassay experiments.
Once you are familiar with the research process check-out the research challenges and choose what you would like to do your research on.
